There’s Still Time for a Little Holiday Magic at Walt Disney World

The next few months bring plenty of opportunities to experience Walt Disney World dressed for the season. For guests hoping to squeeze in some fall fun, Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party runs on select nights through October 31, 2026, with a separate event ticket required. Then November brings the start of the Christmas celebrations.

Disney’s resort-wide holiday season runs from November 13, 2026, through January 6, 2027. Seasonal decorations, festive entertainment, and special food and drinks give guests so many ways to enjoy this time of year. Just remember that individual events have their own dates, so it helps to plan around the experiences you’re most excited about.

For that classic Christmas feeling, Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party brings festive entertainment, sweet treats, and holiday cheer to Magic Kingdom on select nights from November 8 through December 22, 2026. It’s the kind of evening you might build an entire little getaway around. The party requires a separate ticket, and availability should be

checked before making your plans.

Over at Disney’s Hollywood Studios, Disney Jollywood Nights adds a little sparkle and Hollywood glamour to the season. This separately ticketed celebration takes place on select nights from November 7, 2026, through January 5, 2027. If dressing up, enjoying holiday entertainment, and taking festive photos sounds like your kind of night, this might be a lovely addition to your trip.

And for guests visiting later in the season, EPCOT International Festival of the Holidays runs November 27 through December 30, 2026. Included with EPCOT admission, the festival offers a chance to enjoy holiday traditions, seasonal flavors, and entertainment from around the world. Give yourself time to wander and enjoy it. Sometimes those unhurried moments become the best part of the day.

So, how do you bring a last-minute holiday trip together?

Start with your dates and your budget. Being open to a different resort, a shorter stay, or shifting your arrival by a day or two gives you more options to explore. Check room availability, transportation, park tickets, and any special events together before committing—especially if a holiday party is the main reason for your visit.

Then choose a few priorities. Maybe your family wants a Magic Kingdom day, one special dinner, and an evening celebrating the holidays. That’s a wonderful starting point. You don’t need to fill every hour to make the trip meaningful.

Keep an open mind about dining, too. Search for reservations that fit your plans, but allow room to try somewhere new. Select table-service restaurants also offer walk-up lists through the My Disney Experience app, subject to availability. A little flexibility can help when your first choice isn’t available.

Most of all, leave yourself time to enjoy being there.

Pause for the family photo. Share the seasonal dessert. Take in the decorations without rushing straight to the next attraction. There’s something lovely about giving yourself permission to slow down during a season that can feel so full.
